Each year it seems like North America’s premier motorcycle road racing series continues to become more and more thrilling. The 2022 MotoAmerica Series was no exception with it ending at the Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. The amazing track conditions made for some of the most exciting racing of the year.
The season kicked off at Circuit of the Americas with Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati NYC’s Danilo Petrucci taking an early commanding lead in the championship. However, Jake Gagne dug deep to pull out an impressive 10 wins, finally pulling ahead on the championship in Pittsburgh. The MotoAmerica Superbike Series championship was decided on the final round of the season with Gagne securing two podium finishes and becoming your 2022 Medallia Superbike Champion.

The 2022 Supersport season proved to be the Josh Herrin show with the SoCal native taking an early lead in the championship and never looking back. Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati NYC’s Josh Herrin wrapped up the season with an impressive 106-point difference over 2nd place, Rocco Landers. The Junior Cup title was wrapped up by Alpha Omega Kawasaki’s Cody Wyman but not without pressure from Gus Rodio and female racer, Kayla Yaakov. Meanwhile the N2 Racing/BobbleHeadMoto Yamaha rider Blake Davis clinched the Twins Cup Championship by riding conservative to a fourth-place finish at the season finale. In the hands-on Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. Championship, rider Kayleigh Buyck won four races in the series to seal the championship.
The century-old rivalry between Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle rages on as they battled it out on the track once again! The championship came down to the very last round at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Indian’s Tyler O’ Hara kept it calm and cool in the pouring rain to finish ahead of Harley’s Travis Wyman who went for a slide on lap 2. The Stock 1000 class, Corey Alexander was awarded champion after winning seven races on his Tytlers Cycle Ride HVMC BMW.
The future of road racing looks bright with competitors in the MotoAmerica Mini Cup by Motul. This year three different winners won each class; Nathan Gouker won both the 110cc (ages 6-10) class and the 160cc (ages 10-14) class while international road racer Kensei Matsudaira took home the 190cc (ages 10-14) class. 110cc and 160cc riders were on the new Dunlop Sportmax Slick tires and 190cc riders were on the TT93GP Pro tires that were fitted on their Ohvale race bikes.
