Dunlop Riders Dominate Sixth Annual James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship
Buffalo, NY: Armed with Dunlop’s dominant Geomax® MX3S and MX52 tires, Dunlop riders at the 2016 James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship won a whopping 49 out of 50 championships. Team Dunlop Elite riders grabbed 11 titles, while Elite Alumni riders took home six more championships.
Of the 1400 entries, there were many standout performances, most notably Mitchell Falk, who was undefeated in all eight of his motos to take home four titles. Dunlop Elite alumni riders Austin Forkner and Hannah Hodges also drew the spotlight. For Forkner, it was his last amateur appearance before joining the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team in his first pro Motocross debut at the season opener Hangtown race later this year. He won two titles at Freestone, while Hodges won both her motos to take her first Women’s Motocross Pro national win.
“We’re really proud of all the Dunlop champions at Freestone,” said Dunlop Amateur Motocross Manager Rob Fox. “No other tire company supports amateur motocross like Dunlop does, and we’re thrilled so many riders choose to race on our Geomax tires.”
Dunlop offers one of the largest amateur support programs in the nation, which is open to eligible up-and-coming racers. Visit teamdunlop.com today to check out all the benefits of membership in the Team Dunlop community.
