Dunlop Riders Earn 69 Championships at the 2013 Thor Mini O’s

Buffalo, NY: Thousands of racers from all over the country converged at Gatorback Cycle Park near Gainesville, FL during Thanksgiving week for the 42nd annual Thor Mini O’s. Dunlop sponsored riders beat the competition in both the Supercross and Motocross events. Throughout the weeklong event, Dunlop claimed a total of 69 championships, 18 of which were earned by Team Dunlop riders.

Team Dunlop riders had an amazing week. Team Green Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner clinched the Supermini 1 and Supermini 2 class championships in both the Supercross and Motocross events. Chase Sexton likewise had a very successful week, also wrapping up four championships in Mini Sr (12-15) and 85 (12-13). Other Team Dunlop members to leave as champions include Garrett Marchbanks, Jett Reynolds and Hannah Hodges, each with three championships and Jordan Bailey with one title.

Each year the rider in the Pro/A class division that accumulates the highest number of points combined in both Supercross and Motocross is presented the Dunlop Silver Tire Award. This year it was Amsoil/Factory Connection Honda’s RJ Hampshire who earned the coveted award after taking home five titles in the heavily contested A/Pro Sport classes, winning both the 250A and 450 Pro Sport finals.

Dunlop congratulates all riders on their achievements at the 2013 Mini O’s.
