FEATURES
- Compared to the Roadsmart III, the RSIV increases mileage by 23 percent in the front and 26 percent in the rear.**
- New tread patterns, construction, compounds, and profiles increase ride comfort, grip, and mileage.
- New technology allows the RSIV to maintain its high performance throughout its lifespan.
- MT Multi-Tread™ technology in the rear tire uses a long-wearing compound in the center and special lateral compounds on the shoulders for outstanding grip.
- New sidewall construction improves wet and dry handling and comfort.
- **Testing performed by Dunlop in Japan on a 2018 Honda CB1300 SB with tire sizes 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear on 40% public roads and 60% highways. Mileage results may vary.

TIRE HIGHLIGHTS
Profiles and Tread Pattern
Both front and rear tire profiles are changed significantly, resulting in 15% lighter steering on turn-in with more a linear response. On backroads especially, the RSIV makes it easier to set up a turn, and the steering is more consistent from upright to full lean for more precise rider feedback. Another benefit: lighter steering decreases rider fatigue so you can stay sharper longer.
New tread patterns work in harmony with the new profiles, improving tread wear, grip, and handling (especially in wet conditions). The RSIV’s optimized groove angles and strengthening of its tread rigidity through strategically placed thinner tread grooves contribute to more even wear across the life of the tire while maintaining superior wet-weather performance.
Jointless Band
New front tire constructions are utilized by size to meet specific motorcycle requirements. The 120/70-18 utilizes aramid Jointless Band (JLB) construction and the 120/70-17 utilizes aramid 2 Cut Breaker construction for greater compliance, ride quality, comfort, and rider feel. In the back, Dunlop’s JLB construction also contributes to a very linear feel by reducing tire growth for cooler running, enhanced grip, and handling.

The Roadsmart IV is another big step in the evolution of Dunlop’s sport-touring line, which includes the now value-priced Roadsmart III. With the addition of the Roadsmart IV, Dunlop has created the most market-driven sport-touring tire range available in sizes to fit a broad variety of motorcycles.
Additionally, Dunlop continues to be the only brand offering sport-touring tires that perform on both “Standard” and “GT” bikes, eliminating the need for two separate versions of its sport-touring tires.
